BRISTOW. DELIVERING INNOVATIVE, RELIABLE AND CAPABLE SEARCH AND RESCUE ACROSS SCOTLAND, THE UK – AND THE WORLD
At Bristow Group we are proud to have pioneered world-class search and rescue (SAR) services around the world for more than 50 years.
Today our teams deliver life-saving SAR operations in countries including The Netherlands, USA, Trinidad, The Falkland Islands, Ireland and Curacao.
In the UK Bristow operates a network of specialist SAR bases on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Each base is equipped with cutting-edge equipment and houses specialist SAR helicopters. Teams are trained and ready to respond to life-at-risk emergencies 24/7/365.
Our teams at Prestwick are always busy – it was the first UK SAR base to reach the 1,000 missions mark – and our crews here are regularly tasked by the Coastguard to respond to emergency calls on their AW189 aircraft.
The modern and powerful AW189s based at Prestwick are ideally suited to SAR operations. The on-board medical capabilities, dual-hoist winch systems, advanced thermal and infra-red imaging cameras and the ability to reach remote locations – fast – mean they can take a life-saving response to a huge variety of critical situations, on land or at sea.
We are proud to provide a vital link in supporting other agencies and emergency services such as the RNLI, mountain rescue volunteers or Police Scotland and helping people when they need it the most.
