NATS is the UK’s leading provider of air traffic control services. Each year we handle around 2.2 million flights and 250 million passengers travelling in UK airspace. In addition to providing services to 15 UK airports and managing all upper airspace across the UK, we provide services around the world spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.
We exist to make the skies an even safer and more efficient environment for aviation. With this in mind, two things drive everything we do. The first is safety, a duty of care for the skies. Our Prestwick Centre is responsible for controlling air traffic from the North of England, over Scotland and across the North Atlantic, responsible for traffic flying to and from North America, the UK, Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
We have around 4,500 employees working across NATS dedicated to advancing aviation, keeping the skies safe. That includes 1,700 Air Traffic Controllers, 650 Air Traffic Service Assistants, 1,000 engineers and 1,000 other specialists. At NATS we celebrate the diversity of our colleagues.
