Prestwick Aerospace Operational Group

Prestwick Aerospace Operational Group (PAOG) was established to support Prestwick Aerospace Cluster and to provide maximum economic benefit to Ayrshire and Scotland as a whole. It is a public-private sector working group set up by South Ayrshire Council, with representation including all primary company leaders, their immediate supply chain, complimentary sectors and key public sector functions (local and national).

PAOG’s purpose is to develop, inform, communicate, and influence the key policies and strategies within national and local government, and the education sector that will contribute to the sustainability and growth of Prestwick Aerospace.

Its objectives are to address the evolving resource requirements of the sector in Ayrshire, including workforce requirements (skills, training, careers), infrastructure needs (buildings, roads, facilities) and innovation (introducing new technologies, practices and business improvements). PAOG subgroups focus on each of these three areas, with a fourth group focussing on Lobbying & Communications.
